Three-quarters (76 percent) of Canadian workers feel that all employers should offer the possibility of working remotely when possible, The Toronto Sun reported, citing a poll by software company Citrix.

At the same time, 49 percent of those workers felt worse or much worse physically than before the pandemic, while 57 percent said the same of their mental state, the survey found.

“A year ago, Canadian employees were forced to work from home, but antiquated work cultures and technology went along with them and created situations that have led to significant employee burnout,” The paper cited Ed Rodriguez, general manager of Citrix Canada, as saying in a statement.

He added that companies will have to adapt their work models to promote employee well-being.
