Scotland and Wales are the two U.K. countries with the most remote-job opportunities, according to HR News,.

Citing a study by the AA (the Automobile Association), the U.K. website noted that the Scottish cities Edinburgh and Glasgow had the highest percentage of remote-job postings, at 3 percent and 2.8 percent, respectively, followed by the Welsh city of Cardiff, at 2.5 percent.

These were followed by English cities Bristol (2.2 percent) and London (2.1. percent). By comparison, Liverpool had the fewest remote-work opportunities, with only 1.2 percent of posts offering remote opportunities.

The group also analyzed remote opportunities by role, with marketing offering the most teleworking possibilities (4.7 percent), followed by finance (4.3 percent) and business and IT positions (3 percent each). At the other end of the scale, manufacturing offered only 0.8 percent possibility of working outside the home.
