About half of San Francisco Bay Area residents view working in offices as “very unsafe,” the Marin Independent Journal reported, citing a poll conducted by EMC Research.

In addition, 40 percent of Bay Area workers said they plan to return to a traditional five-day workweek with a commute, while 16 percent said they would not return to in-person work post-pandemic, the survey found.

Twenty-two percent of respondents making less than $50,000 a year plan to work remotely more often, compared with  47 percent of those who make over $150,000 a year, the poll revealed.

The survey for the Bay Area Council polled 1,000 registered voters.
