Splunk, a San Francisco-based data-analytics company, will allow most employees to work remotely on a permanent basis even as staff expected to be back in the office in September, SFGate reported.
The company also has listed almost 100,000 square feet of its headquarters for sublease, according to SFGate.
“Almost 100 percent of the roles that we have in the company will have the flexibility to work the way they want to,” Splunk Chief Human-Resources Officer Kristin Robinson told the San Francisco Business Times. “What we don’t know yet is how many people will choose to come into the office one day a week, and how many people will want to be there five days a week.”
Splunk has 2,336 employees in the Bay Area.
