Most Americans working from home during the pandemic have seen their personal finances improve, according to a Bank Rate survey.
Six in 10 remote workers in the U.S. reported saving money while telecommuting by cutting costs on, food, commuting and childcare, while some employees were able to move to less-expensive areas, the poll found.
“Many Americans’ finances have improved during the pandemic, especially higher-income individuals who have been able to work from home,” Bankrate industry analyst Ted Rossman said in the study.
Bank Rate polled 2,695 adults through an online survey between May 26-28, 2021.
