Canada will require all federal public servants to be vaccinated against Covid-19, as well as travelers by federally regulated air, rail or marine transportation, Reuters reported.

The mandate also applies to contractors and subcontractors who work on government property, and to remote federal employees, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau told reporters last week, according to the news service. The deadline for vaccination is Oct. 29.

The government previously has said that government workers who are not fully vaccinated or who do not disclose their vaccination status will be placed on administrative leave without pay as of Nov. 15.
