Almost seven in 10 (67 percent) workers in Spain who had to abandon offices because of the pandemic prefer to continue telecommuting after the health crisis ends, Staffing Industry Analysts reported, citing a study by Cigna.
Employees cited time saved by lack of commutes, improved work-life balances and cost savings as the top reasons for preferring to work from home, the survey found.
“The pandemic has significantly changed the employment landscape and continues to evolve, creating new challenges and opportunities for Spanish companies,” Juan José Montes, CEO of Cigna Spain, was cited as saying in the report. “Our report reveals that there is a real demand from employees for more positive and flexible work options, becoming the prevailing company culture.”
