Seventy-five percent of Vermont residents expect to work remotely more often even after the pandemic ends, news site VTDigger reported, citing a survey by the University of Vermont.
That’s an increase from the 55 percent of Vermonters who wanted to continue telecommuting a year earlier, the poll found.
“Telecommuting is here to stay,” Richard Watts, head of the center that conducted the survey, was cited as saying. “After people have experienced a year of telecommuting, support for it has grown.”
The survey polled more than 400 Vermonters in May, the report said.
