A recent two-day “Working Train” event was a boon to hard-working Japanese baseball fans, who were able to board train cars equipped with 65 desks for teleworking that brought them to the stadium on time for a local baseball game.
The Japan News reported that fans of the Seibu Lions were able to board commuter trains converted into remote-work spaces, which brought them to the Seibu MetLife Dome in Tokorozawa, in the Saitama prefecture.
Besides desks, the Seibu Railway Co. equipped trains with a power supply, color printer and wifi.
Once onboard, commuters could finish up last-minute work before supporting their local team.
The railway hoped to encourage more fans to come to the stadium, the news site reported.
