Honda said it will allow some of its employees in the U.S. to work remotely from satellite locations for the full or partial workweek.

As Honda works to “achieve its vision of a carbon free and collision free future,” remote work will enable the company to expand its talent pool beyond geographical restrictions, the company said in statement.

“Our remote work policy creates more flexibility so that wherever work gets done, Honda associates will continue to collaborate with each other and create value for our customers and society,” said American Honda Vice President of Human Resources Rich Richardson.

The company also said it plans to implement a hybrid or virtual workplace for employees, based on their responsibilities.
