The French government said state employees, which have been asked since October 2020 to work remotely, began a progressive return to the office on June 9.

The return to the office is to be managed by employers in partnership with employee representatives, according to the French Labor Ministry. A minimum number of remote-work days should be allotted to workers as “remote work is one of the most effective measures for prevention the risk of Covid-19 infection,” it said.

Within companies, wearing a mask is still mandatory except for those employees with their own office.
