Most business executives expect staff to return to the office at least three days a week once the Covid-19 pandemic, while a majority of employees prefer to be remote at least three days a week, according to a survey by PwC.
About 58 percent of executives believe personnel should be working from the office post-pandemic “to maintain a distinctive company culture,” the poll said.
In addition, 65 percent of those surveyed believe the office is “very important” to increasing employee productivity, while over half also consider the office very important for employee collaboration, providing space to meet with clients and enabling the company culture, it said.
At the same time, 55 percent of workers expect to continue working from home three days or week or more, according to the survey. PwC polled 133 U.S. executives between Nov. 24 and Dec. 5 of last year.
