About 63 percent of businesses in Canada have experienced increased cyberattacks since the switch to remote work during the Covid-19 health crisis, according to a report by enterprise-security company Proofpoint.
Half of the Canadian information security officers surveyed (51 percent) said that human error was the largest vulnerability. Email fraud was cited as the biggest problem, the study said.
When workers are outside an organization’s security perimeter, there are more ways for criminals to target them, Proofpoint spokesperson Lucia Milica was cited as saying by news site Global News.
