British Airways is considering selling its Waterside headquarters in London as it plans to implement a “hybrid” work approach for its staff, reducing the need for office space, Bloomberg News
The airline hopes to fuse elements of a remote-work approach with in-person office work and is seeking staff opinions on how to approach it, Stuart Kennedy, the airline’s director of people, wrote in an internal company e-mail, according to Bloomberg.
“Many of us are based at Waterside and it’s not clear if such a large office will play a part in our future,” Kennedy said in the email to staff, the Financial Times reported. “We’re working with a specialist property company to gauge if the sale of Waterside would be beneficial, but it’s very early days.”
