Allstate plans to sell its Northbrook campus headquarters in the Chicago area as the insurer continues to embrace the pandemic-induced shift to remote work, WGNTV reported.

The “pandemic has shown we can provide excellent customer service with home-based and hybrid work conditions,” the company said in a memo to employees that was obtained by the news station.

Workers will have the choice in how and where they work, dividing their time between home and the office, the note said. Allstate still plans to keep a “significant presence” in Chicago and those working at the campus will not leave before mid-2022, it added.
