By As U.S. remote workers continue to embrace remote work as the new normal, they’ve encountered a new headache: personal-computer performance, PCMag reported, citing a survey conducted by OnePoll.
More than half of 2,000 workers (aged 18 and older) polled said their computers are “awful to work on” with 62 percent reporting their equipment prevents work from being done, the survey revealed.
In addition, 47 percent said high-quality technology is the key to productivity and 59 percent said being productive was all about being “comfortable. “
The study also found that four out of five respondents reported using their work-provided computer for personal activities, and 55 percent said their home workspace is “cluttered beyond recognition.”
OnePoll’s survey was conducted in June 2021.
