Fifteen percent of remote employees have worked while under the influence of marijuana during the pandemic, according to a study by AmericanMarijuana.org, an online medical-marijuana resource.

Almost half (44 percent) of the study’s respondents worked from home under the influence of cannabis for the first time during the pandemic, it said.

“Many people have reported engaging in activities while working from home that they would not have done at the office such as taking naps, watching TV, and yes, getting high at work from home,” the site said.

Benefits reported by users included decreased stress (53 percent), increased creativity (51 percent) and higher productivity (43 percent).

The poll found that company policy concerning drug use did not deter most respondents from using again.
