By Most U.S. business leaders (75 percent) plan to offer permanent flexible work options for employees even after the pandemic subsides, a survey by Vocon showed.
The financial and legal industries have the highest portion of leaders planning to offer a “hybrid” work model to staff, with 92 percent of its leaders set to allow employees to work partially at the office and partially remote, according to the survey by Vocon, an office-design firm.
About 80 percent of U.S. employers polled said they are satisfied with their teams’ productivity, the study found.
Over half (62 percent) said remote workers’ performance has remained consistent with in-office work; 13 percent claim their employees’ productivity has improved and 20 percent reported their employees have had a decrease in output.
About one-third of the leaders polled expect employees to return to in-office work at least partially once Covid-19 vaccines are widely available, while 20 percent already have employees working at the office, Vocon reported.
The survey, published in March 2021, queried 100 business leaders representing 950,000 American workers.
