Despite increasing vaccination levels and markets reopening, about 20 percent of India’s 500 million workers will telework for the next one to two years, according to The New Indian Express.
IT services firms in India, including Tata Consultancy Services, Wipro, Infosys, HCL Tech and tech startups, have announced hybrid-work policies that will allow employees to work remotely on at least some days, the news site reported.
“Policy changes at organizational level are promoting people to work either completely from their homes or dedicated workspaces closer to their homes,” said a report by property consulting firm Savills India, cited by the news cite.
